Vacation!!!

It is a warm, stormy night on the plains. It has been a long time since we have blogged. We returned from vacation a week ago, and the last week has been pretty full, with Independence Day festivities, catching up at work, and my first day of being back in school. Our trip to Maine was wonderful. It was chilly, wet, and foggy most of the time, but very relaxing. It was great to see family and to enjoy the magnificent Maine coast. We have a ton of pictures from the trip, and I thought I'd share a few of them here. Check out our sweet rental car, a 2010 Mustang that started the week with 6 miles on it Out for a walk on Pemaquid Loop with Grandma The view from 420 feet up on the tower of the new Penobscot Narrows Bridge Looking out toward the bay from the same tower Sarah and Ash at the salt pond Asher at the emergency room with a bug bite that swelled up his hand alarmingly (he was fine) Asher waiting for the narrow gauge train Petting the friendly sharks at the Maine state aquarium in Boothbay On top of the fort at Pemaquid The traditional lobster picture at Shaw's Me, Mark, Aunt Sally, Great Grandpa, Great Grandma, Asher, John and Grandma At the bellhouse on Pemaquid Point (I got to go to the top of the lighthouse this year!)
