It is a warm, beautiful night in Iowa. The past week was extremely hot and humid, with a huge thunderstorm early Monday morning. Things are much cooler now, but the heat will be back soon. At our house, we are all still adjusting to the arrival of little Elise. She is still a little bit of a night owl. She is healthy and strong, and already seems to have grown so much. We have been blown away by wonderful gifts for the baby, and our church family has brought amazing dinners almost every night since Elise was born!
Sarah is adjusting to having all three kids at home during the day. Asher is done with "school" until kindergarten starts next month, and Eva will be home until Sarah goes back to work. Today was Asher's first day of T-ball. He was so excited! He didn't even mind when they were playing in the rain.

| Last weekend, I took Asher fishing at Badger Creek. It was scorching hot, and we didn't catch a thing, but it was good "boy time". |

| about as close as we have come to capturing Elise's elusive smile (or gas, or whatever) |
