It is the start of another snowy weekend in Iowa, with a storm on the way for tomorrow. We were mostly missed by the big snows to the south and east of here, and we just got cold weather and a few little snowstorms during the week. We are at about day 66 of our streak of days with at least 5 inches of snow on the ground. Some of the snow in our yard has been there since the beginning of December!
My birthday was on Tuesday. We had some ribs, and Sarah made my Grandma's recipe for pineapple upside-down cake!
I got lots of great cards and presents, including giftcards, unroasted coffee, a milk frother, and a mug with pictures of my two cute kids on it.
Last Saturday, we had a beautiful, sunny (but still kind of cold) day, so we went to the zoo. Eva slept straight through her first zoo visit. Asher had a great time!
