Baby Elise

Elise Catherine Bosen was born on Saturday morning, right at daybreak in Des Moines.  Sarah might share the whole birth story at some point, but everything went well, and we had a beautiful, 8 pound, 11 ounce baby girl.  She has a lot of dark hair, and I think she takes after her daddy a bit.  These first few pictures were all in the first few minutes after she was born.

Wake up, daddy!!

Elise is strong and healthy, and doing just great.  Sarah is doing fine too.  They both came home from the hospital yesterday, and Elise has been spending time with her big brother and sister, and family from out of town.  Sarah's parents drove straight through from Pennsylvania on Friday and got here just in time to be there for her birth.
Eva with Grandma and Grandpa Gruber, going to visit little sister  (if you look in the distance, you  can barely see Asher trying to hide under a bench to scare them)

Yesterday, Sarah and Elise came home from the hospital, and we had a visit from Sarah's Grandma Dodi and Aunt Cheryl, who drove over from Omaha.

Today, Sarah's dad had to leave for some meetings in Southern Missouri.  Asher and I spent the beautiful sunny day at an Iowa Cubs game, and Elise had her first outing.  We all went to Pizza Ranch!!

what a wonderful peak into Elise's first days. She is beautiful!
And, if I do say so myself, her pictures look a lot like my girls newborn pics. I will have to dig some up to show you. And they were both big babies too (8 lbs 8 oz, and 8 lbs 12 oz), compared to Noahs 6 lbs 6 oz.
