Asher Rocks

It is a very hot, muggy night in Iowa.  To make it worse, I have a high fever from a case of strep throat that drove me to the doctor's office for the first time in many, many years.  We don't have another baby yet, but Sarah thinks we will any day now.  I think we have her name picked out now, so stay tuned.

In other news, we bought a minivan on Saturday.  It is very well used, with lots of miles, but seems to run perfectly. It is very luxurious inside, with all the sweet features we haven't had in a vehicle yet. Asher is totally blown away by the TV, and by having his own seat.

On Memorial Day weekend, I took Asher to the state fairgrounds for Every Family Rocks, a kids rock festival.  He had an absolute blast, and we got to see one of my favorite bands, They Might be Giants.
We learned how to spin plates.  Asher wanted to do this for hours.

Asher did lots of hula hooping.  They had some my size, but I wouldn't let Asher take pictures of that.
Mind-blowing drum solo in the kids' jam band!
He loved playing the bass

They Might be Giants!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This past weekend was so hot that the kids spent lots of time in the sprinklers and the wading pool.

You do know that Asher plays the guitar so well because his Uncle Tim gave him that guitar when he was a baby:) Love you, Grandma in Pennsylvania
