Rosie's First Snow

Greeting from Icy Iowa! We are finally getting our first snow. The snow was flying all day, but only a trace is sticking to the ground so far. It's certainly nothing like what fell west of here in South Dakota, but it does feel like winter. It was Rosie's first snowstorm, and she was very excited. She didn't know whether to eat the snow or fight it. She was jumping, pawing and snapping at the snow. Sarah tried to take some pictures, but it is impossible to capture Rosie's crazy energy in a photo. We definitely need some video of this dog. It was kind of a long week, and it is good that the weekend is here. Of course Tuesday was election day, and we voted for president, senate, house, statehouse, and to remove the word "idiot" from the Iowa State Constitution. On Wednesday, I took a day off and hung out with Asher. It was cold and rainy, so we mostly stayed around the house. We did go to the mall for some time in the indoor playground and a look at ice-fishing gear. Asher celebrated his birthday at school today (he brought Spiderman cupcakes) and we will be doing something special this weekend. He is very excited about opening all the presents that have arrived.
